民國45年生,68年逢甲大學水利工程系工學士,74年美國伊利諾大學香檳分校土木工程系環境工程組碩士,78年美國休士頓大學土木工程系博士。78年曾任財團法人生物技術開發中心微生物組副研究員,78年至本系服務至今。
