民國 38 年生，60年國立師範大學物理系學士，64年美國紐約州立大學水牛城(Buffalo)分校物理系碩士，70 年美國紐約州立大學水牛城分校工程科學系博士，70至74年美國紐約州立大學水牛城分校能源與環境研究實驗所助教授，74至77年美國路易絲安那州立大學機械工程系研究員，77至78年美國紐約州立大學水牛城分校助教授，79 年至本系任教至今。
  • 榮獲八十九年至中華民國環境工程學會梁文傑教授紀念論文獎，得獎論文「軌跡模式模擬原生污染物、硫酸鹽、硝酸鹽之濃度」，作者：莊秉潔、陳建隆、潘榮長、林佳穎、黃沛霖、鄭曼婷。
  • 民國八十八年起擔任中華民國氣膠研究學會榮譽會長至今。
  • 指導大專學生王景良參與專題研究計畫，榮獲八十七年度研究創作獎，得獎研究專題：「靜電旋風機應用於磁磚業空氣污染防制之可行性評估」
